When I was about 7 or 8 years old, my mom introduced me to running. And I fell in love with it! It’s freeing and liberating. There’s nothing better than the wind whistling past your ears and sweat beading down your forehead as you cross a finish line and realize it is a PR! Running lets me escape from life. Whether it’s just minutes or a couple of hours I get to throw my heart and soul into one thing and prove my strength to myself over and over with each step forward. I’ve never ended a run regretting the time spent. For me, running is the closest to flying that I’ll ever get. And for the ability to run I’m thankful. #IRun4Avalon.
